The 44th Annual Y Race Phoenix is taking place on October 27th. In addition to a 5k and a half marathon, this year the race is offering a 1 mile fun-run that is free for kids. Proceeds for the race will benefit the Strong Kids Campaign. Who They Are The Welcome to America Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that operates out of Scottsdale, AZ. Since 2001 The Welcome to America Project (WTAP) has been helping refugee families new to the Phoenix area. In the 11 years that WTAP has been around, they have helped welcome over 1,200 families. They have also raise over $1 million in in-kind donations since their inception.
